Père Lachaise is one of the most famous cemeteries in the world. It is reputed to be the world’s most-visited cemetery, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors annually to the graves of those who have enhanced French life over the past 200 years. It is also the site of three World War I memorials.

I just came back from a trip to Europe and oddly enough, one of the highlights of the touristic leg of the trip was the visit to the Famous Le Pere Lachaise Cemetery in eastern Paris. This is where we spent most of the time in “The City of Light”… simply amazing.

The day was gloomy and grey and I found it very appropriate to shoot with my Leica M6 + film.
