Jessica’s Bat Mitzvah at Dove Canyon Country Club

Yesterday I shot an awesome Bat Mitzvah in Orange County with my friend Erin Sullivan. It was a long day since we started shooting prior to the ceremony at around 8am but totally worth it. It was a very relaxed day with lots of fun stuff and a totally different experience than shooting a wedding. Really enjoyed it so if you need a photographer for your bar/bat mitzvah celebration I’m here to help

The phrase “Bar (or Bat) Mitzvah” literally translates to being “son (daughter) of obligation” — i.e. the young person becomes fully responsible to observe the commandments of the Torah.

I realized the Hollywood themed reception at the Dove Canyon Country Club was going to be a blast when I saw the red carpet walking in!

The dancers kept everyone moving and jumping on the dance floor, I’ll post their info as soon as I get it so you can recommend them… they were amazing.

Since we were not allowed to shoot during the actual ceremony we hanged out the Temple Beth El and shot a couple of portraits under this beautiful light.
